La Trobe University

This course allows students to combine a specialization in nanotechnology with comprehensive studies of the core science disciplines of biochemistry, chemistry, mathematics and physics. Nanotechnology is the science of matter on the tiniest scale: nanometers, or billionths of a meter. It contributes to improvements in health, computer speeds, environmental management, cleaner and greener production processes, and energy use. Nanotechnology also helps biologists sense and manipulate biological processes within cells.
Good knowledge of Mathematics and Physics.
Gaining of knowledge related to Issues in Nanotechnology, Principles of Physics, Calculus and Number Systems, General Principles of Chemistry, Organisation and Function of Cells and Organisms, Applications of Chemistry, Calculus and Linear Algebra, Issues in Nanotechnology, Modern Physics, Vector Calculus, Fundamentals of Chemistry, Electromagnetism and Modern Materials, Nano-chemistry, Imaging and Materials Characterisation are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
