Wildlife and conservation biology is critically important in managing and limiting the effects of environmental degradation, climate change and loss of biodiversity. It's the science that underpins the management of native animals and plants, and the conservation and restoration of ecosystems. This course provides students with multidisciplinary education in conservation biology and ecology with a big focus on the core subjects of botany, genetics, microbiology and zoology. Other areas covered include mathematics and statistics, management and policy.

Gaining of knowledge related to Animal Evolution and Diversity, Chemistry Foundations, Organisation and Function of Cells and Organisms, Genetics, Human Biology and Evolution, Critical Thinking with Statistics, Plant Science, Climate, Sustainability and Society, Earth Science, Applications of Chemistry, Quantitative Research Methods, Issues in Conservation, Freshwater Ecology, Flora and Fauna of Australia, Environmental Law, Remote Sensing and GIS, Principles of Ecology and Evolution are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
Students are eligible to this course if they have LTM Foundation Studies – 70, International Baccalaureate – 30, GCE A Levels – 8, HKDSE - 3 x Level 4, Sri Lankan A Levels – BBC, STPM – 8, MICSS (UEC) – 5, Canada Secondary School (or CPU) – 73, Norway Upper Secondary Certificate - 3.7, Sweden Slutbetyg - G/VG, All Indian Sen SC (Best 5 Subjects) – 70, Vietnam (Year 12) - 8.4, Indonesia (SMA) - 8, GAC Cert. IV - GPA 2.3.
Students of this course will have work in conservation, park management, natural resource management and research in non-government organizations.
