Physiotherapists assess and treat patients with temporary or long-term physical injuries, movement disorders or disabilities, helping them achieve the highest possible degree of recovery, activity, and quality of life. This course aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills to formulate physiotherapeutic diagnoses and design programs of prevention, treatment and exercise. Students will study science, clinical experience, and methods of problem-solving and decision-making, as you prepare for professional roles in various healthcare settings.

Gaining of knowledge related to Academic Integrity, Human Biosciences, Introduction to Professional Practice, Individual Determinants of Health, Research and Evidence in Practice, Social Determinants of Health, Anatomy for Physiotherapy, Physiology and Biomechanics of Movement, Human Development and Movement, Integrating Evidence Into Practice, Pathophysiology and Pharmacology, Anatomy and Neurosciences for Physiotherapy, Exercise for Health and Wellbeing, Soft Tissue Management are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
Students are eligible to this course if they have LTM Foundation Studies – 85, International Baccalaureate – 38, GCE A Levels – 14, HKDSE - 2 x Level 5, Sri Lankan A Levels – AAA, STPM – 11, MICSS (UEC) – 2, Canada Secondary School (or CPU) – 85, Norway Upper Secondary Certificate – 5.5, Sweden Slutbetyg - G/VG, All Indian Sen SC (Best 5 Subjects) – 75, Vietnam (Year 12) - 9, Indonesia (SMA) – 9, GAC Cert. IV - GPA 3.6.
This course is accredited by Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Students of this course will work in a variety of healthcare settings including hospitals, rehabilitation and community health centers, private practice, industrial clinics and specialist facilities.
