Course Description

Students will learn from highly respected active researchers. The Bachelor of Ancient History provides a detailed and specialised introduction to ancient cultures and languages. Students learn how to use literary texts, papyri, inscriptions, coins, art and archaeological evidence to reconstruct the ancient world.

Major Studies

Gaining of knowledge related to Ancient Greece Tyranny and Democracy, Rome: From Republic to Empire, Antiquity's Heirs: Barbarian Europe, Byzantium, and Islam, Myth in the Ancient World, The Archaeology of Ancient Israel and the Near East, Egyptian Archaeology: An Introduction, Latin, Classical Hebrew, Coptic, Egyptian Hieroglyphs are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
