By combining arts with primary education, this degree will qualify students for teaching at a primary school level as well as prepare students for employment in psychology-related areas. As part of this degree, Students will have the opportunity to work in a school, where students will be mentored by an experienced classroom teacher. The completion of this degree will see students become eligible for accreditation to teach in government and non-government schools as this course is recognised nationally and internationally by education providers. This course provides students with transferable skills in evaluation and critical analysis.

Gaining of knowledge related to Introduction to Psychology, Curriculum and Teaching in Primary School, Mathematics in Schools, Language, Literacy and Learning, Classroom Management and Assessment, Social and Personality Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Biopsychology and Learning, Cognitive Processes, Perception, Design and Statistics, Professional Experience in the Primary School, Curriculum and Teaching in Primary School, Reading Acquisition in the Primary Classroom, Principles of Psychological Assessment are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
Students are eligible to this course if they have minimum Band 4 (or equivalent) in HSC English, and Band 4 in HSC General Mathematics. If this standard is not reached on entry, students must complete a unit of study in the relevant areas before graduatio
