Combine the problem solving and research skills from a law degree with the creative and communications skills of arts. This Double Degree with a Bachelor of Laws is designed by students, with over forty major topics to focus student’s study. These include languages, gender studies, international business, politics and psychology. Macquarie Law will give students knowledge of legal principles and the critical and analytic skills to really understand them. Students will study established areas such as constitutional law, international law, contract law and family law. Students will also look at areas of contemporary concern such as consumer law, environmental law, health law and information technology law.

Gaining of knowledge related to Criminal Justice and Procedure, Foundations of Law, Contracts, Law, Lawyers and Society, Torts, Jurisprudence, Property Law, Equity and Trusts, Business Organisations, International Law, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Civil and Criminal Procedure, Remedies, Reparations and Resolution in Law are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
This course is accredited with professional bodies regulating the admission of law graduates to legal practice.
Graduates are able to pursue careers where their Arts major brings an extra dimension to their work as legal practitioners (barristers or solicitors), legal officers in public or private sectors, and legal academia.
