The amount of information created by websites, social media, ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems and corporate databases is perpetually growing – meaning organisations increasingly need people who can extract and understand meaningful information from big data. It is a new trend that will define how society makes decisions in the future. The Bachelor of Business Analytics combines knowledge and skills from both business and science to enable students to understand how to understand and work with big data. Developed in consultation with industry, this degree will teach students about: quantitative analysis, business information systems, database programming, business management and decision making.

Gaining of knowledge related to Accounting Information for Decision-Making, Principles of Management, Introduction to Business Information, Introduction to Systems, Design and Data Management, Introductory Statistics, Fundamentals of Business Analytics, Database Systems, Applications Modelling and Development, Business Analytics Project, Information Systems for Management, Business Forecasting, Advanced Analytics Techniques, Graphics, Multivariate Methods and Data Mining are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
Students are eligible to this course if they have general HSC Mathematics is assumed knowledge. Students can study a first-year mathematics unit to acquire the assumed knowledge.
