Study Professional Accounting with Law and better understand the role of commercial and corporate law while preparing to practice as a qualified accountant. Accounting is the collection, measurement and communication of economic information which is used for planning, reporting and decision making. Students will study techniques and elements of finance, management, microeconomics, marketing, auditing and statistics. Macquarie Law will give students knowledge of legal principles and the critical and analytic skills to really understand them. Students will study established areas such as constitutional law, international law, contract law and family law.

Gaining of knowledge related to Accounting IA, Techniques and Elements of Finance, Principles of Management, Microeconomic Principles, Marketing Fundamentals, Foundations of Law, Criminal Justice and Procedure, Statistical Data Analysis, Contracts, Law, Lawyers and Society, Fundamentals of Management Accounting, Intermediate Financial Accounting, Accounting Systems Design and Development, Torts, Jurisprudence, Property Law, Equity and Trusts, Business Organisations, International Law, Organisational Planning and Control, Corporate Accounting and Reporting, Auditing and Assurance Services, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Civil and Criminal Procedure are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
Students are eligible to this course if they have knowledge of mathematics (HSC Mathematics, or international equivalent).
This course is accredited by Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA).
