This Human Science degree provides the required academic background for postgraduate study in physiotherapy, and employment opportunities in areas where skills in counselling, community-based care, disability services, and health policy and education are needed. Students will gain the skills to integrate knowledge about factors affecting human health and wellbeing from a variety of disciplines including biology, economics, linguistics, psychology, sociology, and other social and environmental sciences. Students will specialise in either: Community Services with a focus on health, social policy, psychology and human services, or Human Movement which will prepare you for postgraduate study in physiotherapy and audiology.
Good knowledge of Biology, Chemistry.
Gaining of knowledge related to Introduction to Psychology, Communication in Social Institutions, Legal, Ethical and Policy Directions in Health and select one subject as a major from Community Services and Human Movement.
Students of this course will have career as Welfare advocate, Community-based worker, Government and community worker, Health service provider, Non-government aid worker.
