Macquarie University

In this course students will learn a foreign language. Macquarie has one of the top 100 language departments in the world. With a wide range of European and Asian languages available, this International Studies degree gives students the chance to study a language such as Chinese, Croatian, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Modern Greek, Polish, Russian or Spanish. Students will learn about the history and culture associated with their target language, as well as broader Asian and European cultural studies. The Bachelor of International Studies will also give students skills in cross-cultural communication and global issues.

Gaining of knowledge related to Asia in the Global Context, Societies of Europe, Cross-Cultural Communication, Contemporary China, China in World History, Japan - Past and Present, Citizenship: Past, Present, Global, Global Issues, International Studies In-Country Study are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
This course is accredited by International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).
Students will pursue successful careers within international business and law, politics, travel and tourism, journalism and the media.
