Psychology (Honours) with Laws will prepare students for a career in psychology, law or academia. Students will study cognitive processes, development and learning as well as areas of law. Macquarie Law will give knowledge of legal principles and the critical and analytic skills to the students. Students will study established areas such as constitutional law, international law, contract law and family law. Students will also look at areas of contemporary concern such as consumer law, environmental law, health law and information technology law.

Gaining of knowledge related to Criminal Justice and Procedure, Foundations of Law, Contracts, Law, Lawyers and Society, Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Psychology, Torts, Jurisprudence, Property Law, Equity and Trusts, Business Organizations, International Law, Social and Personality Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Biopsychology and Learning, Cognitive Processes, Design and Statistics, Psychological Science: Putting Theory into Practice, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Civil and Criminal Procedure, Design and Statistics, Research Methods in Psychology, Principles of Psychological Assessment are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
Students are eligible to this course if they have knowledge of Mathematics.
This course is accredited by Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC).
Students of this course will have career in Legal practice such as a barrister or solicitor, Business institutions such as human resources, training or marketing, Educational institutions as a research assistant, report writer, or academic, Government departments and agencies as a policy writer or researcher, Family or community based organizations, Health Services organizations.
