Accounting is the collection, measurement and communication of economic information that is used for planning, reporting and decision-making. Students of this course will develop management information systems for decision-making and organizational control. Students will study a set of broad, integrated foundation subjects to orient students to business, and then complete their major in Accounting. Accountants are in demand worldwide, in all areas of commerce, industry and government.
Good knowledge of General Mathematics.
Gaining of knowledge related to Techniques and Elements of Finance, Principles of Management, Microeconomic Principles, Marketing Fundamentals, Accounting IA, Accounting Information for Decision-Making, Leading Self, Leading Others: Managing Teams and Relationships, C/P Applied Leadership Project, Communication for Effective Leadership, Business Leadership: Ethics and Social Responsibility, Creativity and Innovation, Problem Solving: Critical and Strategic Thinking, Leadership and Influence in Action are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
Students are eligible to this course if they have HSC General Mathematics.
This course is accredited by Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA).
