Chemistry is: the science of converting one substance into another, the molecular interpretation of the world around us. Advances are made at the molecular level in diverse areas. Chemistry plays a key role in our economy, environment, lifestyle and health, and in processes happening in the natural world. A major in chemistry can lead to a wide range of careers including medical, veterinary, agricultural and environmental analysis, pharmaceutical, food and beverage industries, science education, science journalism, and biomedical and chemical research. It is also an excellent foundation for postgraduate studies in medicine and pharmacy.

Gaining of knowledge related to Criminal Justice and Procedure, Foundations of Law, Law, Lawyers and Society, Jurisprudence, Property Law, Equity and Trusts, Business Organizations, International Law, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Civil and Criminal Procedure, Remedies, Reparations and Resolution in Law, Foundations of Chemistry, General Chemistry, Organic and Biological Chemistry - The Chemistry of Life, Organic Synthesis, Physical and Environmental Chemistry, Chemical Analysis, Chemistry Capstone, Organic and Biological Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Protein Discovery and Analysis are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
Students are eligible to this course if they have HSC Mathematics (Band 2), Chemistry (Band 3) (or equivalent).
Students of this course will have a wide range of careers including in medical, veterinary, agricultural and environmental analysis, pharmaceutical, food and beverage industries, science education, science journalism, and biomedical and chemical research organizations.
