The eight-unit Masters will enable students to develop specialist knowledge in electronic business. The degree will be of interest to those students requiring a specialized electronic business degree rather than the more general (and research oriented) Master of Information Systems.
General knowledge about Electronic Business.
The course aims to provide professional, postgraduate level education to existing managers, and those seeking careers as electronic business managers,to provide management of electronic business education, applicability and relevance to the IS profession,to provide knowledge and skills of the course, the relationships of electronic business and information technology to organizational needs, current management practice in the development of electronic business systems, their use and associated policy formulation and analysis,the value of research, critical thinking and effective communication in the management of electronic business systems.
The Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology may accept a candidate for this course any of the following a minimum of a 3 year degree, or combination of degrees and diplomas, from an accredited university, which includes major or sub-major studies in a relevant discipline (business, commerce, information systems, computing, electronic commerce, accounting, management, marketing,economics, law), 3 year degree from an accredited university and at least 3 years of relevant professional experience for those without a major or sub-major in a relevant discipline. For entry into all postgraduate courses, international students must provide an IELTS test score or a TOEFL,Test of Written English score. This test must not be more than 24 months old.Interviews are held at descrition.
This course is accredited by the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, Australian Computer Society, Australasian Institute of Banking and Finance, Chartered Secretaries Australia Limited, Certified Practising Accountants Australia, Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
Upon the successful completion of the course the students can gain careers in the Internet and Mobile and Multimedia Technologies, Business and Technology Managers, Project Managers, Business and Technology Consultants, IT Architects.
