This course has been developed to assist Australian health professionals in developing the evidence-based knowledge and skills required to meet the consumer demand for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) products as well as satisfying their professional and ethical responsibilities.

The major objectives of this course are to enable graduates to determine the appropriateness of CAMs for the patients in light of other available treatment options and safety issues, apply the principles of evidence-based medicine to the CAM domain, utilise CAMs, where clinically appropriate, to assist in the management of common clinical conditions.
Up on completion of this course from University Of tasmania ,Students get accreditation by National Registration Scheme and represented by a National Board.
The CAM qualification will enable registered health professionals to expand their competence and scope of practice into complementary and alternative medicines. Participants in the course will be able to count their time commitment towards their Continuing Professional Development requirements.
