Macquarie University

The study of Chinese at Macquarie is based on Mandarin. Classes range from absolute beginner to native speakers. Students will gain an understanding of the language as well as knowledge of the society, culture and history of China. Students who study Chinese will find this choice a decisive factor in their lives and careers, as many of our graduates have done. Students will combine this program with a discipline such as economics, law or accounting to use Chinese professionally.

Gaining of knowledge related to Principles of Management, Macroeconomic Principles, Marketing Fundamentals, Accounting Information for Decision-Making, Entrepreneurship and New Venture Management, Introduction to Global Business, International Business Operations, Latin American Histories, Modern Chinese History, Modern Japanese Society, International Studies Internship, Global Trade Law, Global Business Strategy, Cross Cultural Management are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
Students of this course will have career as representatives of the Australian Government or companies in Asia, as teachers at primary and secondary level, or as academics specializing in the history or politics of China.
