The French major aims to give students proficiency in French language as well as an awareness of, and appreciation for, the societies and cultures of the Francophone world. French units include French language from introductory level to advanced, the culture and history of France – developing a greater understanding of the language. Study in France or other French-speaking countries, through University-run residential courses or exchange agreements.

Gaining of knowledge related to The Psychological Context, The Social and Historical Context, Mathematics in Schools, Language, Literacy and Learning, Classroom Management and Assessment, Curriculum and Teaching in Primary School, Professional Experience in the Primary School, Reading Acquisition in the Primary Classroom, Advanced French are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
Students of this course will have career as an interpreting and translating, international business and trade, journalism and media, public service, teaching, tourism.
