Climate science is the comprehensive study of the Earth’s climate system, including the atmosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere (frozen water), land surface and biosphere. With a focus on developing research and practical skills, students will examine issues such as climate change, the El Niño–Southern Oscillation, drought, flood, tropical cyclones, and interactions with human society. Students will gain professional training for jobs in industry and government.

Gaining of knowledge related to Introduction to Engineering, Engineering Practice, Engineering Project Practices, Industry Experience, Engineering Research Thesis, Systems Design and Engineering, Engineering Principles and Practice, The Planet Earth, Biophysical Environments, Climate Change, The Atmospheric Environment, Integrated Climate Science, Climate Change, Coasts and Oceans, Applied Climatology, Environmental Management are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
