This innovative major combines Cultural Studies and International Communication to give students diverse perspectives on culture and its expression through the media. Students will gain an understanding of how we make and communicate cultural meaning, investigate the social and political dimensions of culture and the media in Australia and globally. A selection of media, culture and communications subject choices helps students to understand media and other methods of communication.
Good Communication Skills and Traditional knowledge.
Gaining of knowledge related to Theories of Writing for the Media, International Media Policy, Media Identities, Screens, Images, Ideas, Culture and Technology, Modernism, Postmodernism and Beyond, Public Relations Theories, Global Knowledge Society, Writing for International Business and Finance are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
Students of this course will have career in Media, government and community sectors, cultural critique, publishing, theatre and creative arts, arts administration, policy development.
