A master-degree-by-coursework course has been designed for those with a bachelor degree and varying levels of experience and study in Computing. It provides a flexible pathway into advanced studies in Computing. This is an accelerated conversion course for non-computing graduates, with varying levels of computing experience. The main objective is to produce a computer professional with the ability to apply the knowledge in Computer Science and Software Engineering to provide solutions in the workplace.The term information technology (commonly called simply IT) can be defined as "the study, design, development, implementation, support or management of computer-based information systems, particularly software applications and computer hardware."
Basic knowledge of computer.
Major studies include development of skills related to computing, Systems and Networks, Multimedia and the Internet, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Mobile Computing and Computer Security.
A bachelor degree from an accredited tertiary institution.
MIT(Master of Information Technology ) students become eligible for student membership of the Australian Computer Society (ACS) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). On completion of the degree and entry into the computing profession, graduates can apply to become full member of these bodies.
Graduates of the Master of Information Technology are IT specialists who possess an excellent combination of knowledge and practical, hands-on expertise to influence and reinforce an organization’s technology infrastructure and to support the people who use it. They will often be responsible for selecting and deploying software products appropriate for an organization. They may also be involved in creating and managing business applications, web sites, systems and the IT environment in all types of industries.
