Electronics technology is used in many fields, including telecommunications, manufacturing, computers, transport, power generation, entertainment, consumer appliances, environmental control and medicine. Students will develop the knowledge and skills needed to work with electronics technology in these areas. This major is an alternate way to gain an electronics qualification with an emphasis on science over engineering. Students can also choose studies in analogue, digital, and telecommunications electronics. Students will enjoy high-quality laboratories with modern instrumentation and tools.

Students of this course will have career in circuit design and development, design and manufacturing of industrial and consumer products, electronic maintenance, networking and communications, scientific research and development, system designer, systems installation and customization.
