In this program students will develop business skills with an international perspective, with a strong focus on strategic analysis in different regional contexts. Students need to hone leadership and strategic international business skills, all of which are vital in a global economy. This program builds upon eight courses as its core and then offers a range of cutting-edge electives and provides opportunities for students to participate in supervised internships and exchange programs in Asia, North America and Europe through worldwide alliances.

In this course the major studies include gaining of skills related to a set of core courses, a choice of electives drawn from Business, Society and Culture and economics courses, and a capstone that integrates concepts students have been exposed to in the major. The other core courses include key business courses in ethics, history and management.
Up on completing this degree from Griffith university students become eligible to apply for admission to one or more of the following professional bodies such as Australian Human Resource Institute, The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).
Students completing the Master of International Business will develop the thought leadership and strategic international business skills necessary in a global economy. This master’s program will appeal to organizations that require individuals with the policy formulation and implementation knowledge skills appropriate for facilitating sustainable international business and trade practices in a dynamic global environment. Such organizations are likely to include (but not limited to) the following such as Multi-national firms, Public sector organizations , Firms engaged in country risk analysis, International trade and investment. This program was the first international business program in Australia. A minimum score of 575 on TOEFL, an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 88 (no score less than 21), a minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0.
