Public health and health promotion seeks to understand and act on the social and environmental factors that cause poor health, together with the factors that create and sustain good health. Public health and health promotion is a field that uses diverse approaches such as education, media, environmental and social change and policy development to maintain and improve the health of individuals, groups and communities. This is a growing field, with graduates finding exciting government and private sector roles across Australia and internationally. Throughout the Bachelor of Public Health and Health Promotion, students will develop a wide range of knowledge and practical skills, such as generating and utilising evidence for public health and health promotion practice; developing skills in program design, implementation, and evaluation, and developing tools to analyse public health and health promotion policy.
