MIBT Deakin University

Deakin’s Biomedical Science covers the science underpinning medical applications, from basic biology to specific disease processes. Students gain the theoretical foundation and scientific skills to expand and apply their knowledge of human biology and health, with an emphasis on causes, diagnosis and treatment of disease at the molecular, cellular and system levels. The course gives students relevant and wide-ranging practical experience in the laboratory. The course comprises core areas of study in a broad range of topics including anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, biology, cell biology, medical microbiology and immunology, molecular and cell biology, molecular and human genetics and pathophysiology.
