MIBT Deakin University

Deakin's Bachelor of Forensic Science aims to provide formal training in the skills and techniques essential to modern forensic science, including the examination and presentation of scientific evidence. The course combines studies in biology, chemistry, biochemical and chemical analysis, statistical analysis and molecular biology. Students will also undertake studies in criminology, including the examination and interpretation of evidence and courtroom skills.

Gaining of knowledge related to Cells and Genes, Chemistry in Our World, Introduction to Statistics, Introducing Crime and Criminology, Laboratory and Fieldwork Safety Induction Program, Biology: Form and Function, Chemistry for the Professional Sciences, Fundamentals of Forensic Science, Introducing Crime and Criminal Justice, Biochemistry, Introduction to Spectroscopic Principles, Forensic Biology, Forensic Analysis and Interpretation are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
This course is accredited by Australian and New Zealand Forensic Science Society (ANZFSS).
As a graduate of the Bachelor of Forensic Science, career opportunities exist in forensics, insurance investigation, and risk analysis, research science, in government institutions and in chemical, food and pharmaceutical industries.
