In this course students need to focus on logistics, but with a greater emphasis on Event Management and Event Logistics. Students will learn how to manage and/ or participate in planning and organization of complex events. They will obtain knowledge of the particular logistics and economical aspects related to events, understand the effect larger events can have on promoting tourism, and obtain a broad knowledge of event technology. The equipment and infrastructure required for arranging events, and experience and practice from a number of European arrangements, including both cultural and sports events, will also be covered in the studies.

Up on completion of this course from Griffith university students will get employment in a rapidly expanding and dynamic services industry such as government departments, tourism authorities, sporting clubs and associations, event management organizations, sport tourism, food and beverage management, entertainment services, theme parks and attractions and retail travel.
A minimum score of 575 on TOEFL, an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 88 (no score less than 21)or a minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0.
