This program offers a combination of technical and managerial knowledge and skills, which will provide students with a holistic approach to effectively manage information technology in organizations. This program encompasses a comprehensive, modern postgraduate education in the principles and practice of information technology, combined with management tools and practices and the capacity to use that knowledge. In this course students will also develop an in-depth knowledge of information and communication technologies and information systems, which will enable to manage the functional responsibility for choosing, implementing and maintaining information systems and technology within an organisation and across organisations.

In this course major studies focuses on the modeling and design of relational database systems as well as the development of real-world applications based on best practices and sound design principles. Practical emphasis is placed on normalization procedures, user interfaces, client/server technologies, web e-commerce databases and database security issues.
The Master of Information Technology is accredited by the Australian Computer Society.
Up on completion of this course students will gain industry-recognized skills as well as technical, analytical and research skills in information systems and information technology. Completion of this combined degree will prepare students for a wide range of senior employment opportunities relating to the development and management of information technology in any organization. These positions may include systems analyst/developer, web/ ecommerce developer, database designer and administrator and information resource manager. This course can also lead to higher-level positions involved in formulating strategic plans and developing policy. Graduates are not limited to working in the IT industry but may work in all industries where the management of IT and implementation of information systems is essential for efficient and effective operations.
A minimum score of 575 on TOEFL, an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 88 (no score less than 21) or a minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0.
