Major studies includes enhancement of skills in teaching and learning preparing them with skills in the assessment of student learning and the evaluation of training programs. Understanding of the broad socio-economic and political context in which adult and vocational education and training is located. Development of knowledge about adolescents and adults, and learning and skills in and knowledge of training in workplace environments.

This qualification meets the basic training requirements for salary progression as a TAFE teacher.

After pursuing this degree from Griffith university students will develop an understanding of the key concepts and values and underlying adult and vocational education. Vocational subjects may also be required if student’s current competencies in vocational areas are not demonstrated.

A minimum score of 575 on TOEFL, an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 88 (no score less than 21) or a minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0.
