This programs build upon and extend existing knowledge for professional roles in the fields of adult, vocational and community education, and training and professional development, providing excellent vehicles for careers in training and development within student’s vocation or profession. Students need to construct an individually tailored program of study focusing on diverse aspects of adult and vocational teaching, adult literacy and numeracy, and human resource development. Students can select any 40 credit points of courses that meet needs.

Major studies includes enhancement of skills in teaching and learning preparing them with skills in the assessment of student learning and the evaluation of training programs. Understanding of the broad socio-economic and political context in which adult and vocational education and training is located. Development of knowledge about adolescents and adults, and learning and skills in and knowledge of training in workplace environments.
Students can develop a career in the broad field of training and development, including professional education or training and development roles in private and public sector organizations. Many graduates follow these paths in their professional field in nursing, education, production and service sectors. In addition, the teaching specialization of this program equips students to pursue careers in mainstream adult and vocational education fields, such as TAFE.
A minimum score of 575 on TOEFL, an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 88 (no score less than 21) OR a minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0.
