Environmental Engineering has a strong interdisciplinary focus on formulating solutions to environmental problems and developing innovative strategies and technologies for a sustainable future. The program will provide students with enormous opportunities as an environmental engineer and skilled business manager to find appropriate solutions to existing environmental problems. This course combines a set of core skills in engineering design in relation to the quality of land, water and air with core management skills such as accounting, financing, employment relations and government-business relations, which are supported by aspects of environmental sciences and management.

In this course major studies include gaining of knowledge related to core engineering subjects such as mathematics and physics and understanding of the concepts and practices of management combined with a sound knowledge of the functional areas of business. This course will improve decision-making skills, as well as strategic competencies required for management in different areas. This course will equip students with critical analytical skills in areas such as cross-cultural management, organizational analysis and design for improved performance, knowledge management, power and politics.

Career opportunities include government departments such as Main Roads, Natural Resources, Mines and Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, consulting engineers and industries covering mining, petroleum and manufacturing or management, project management, strategic planning and corporate/government relations in the public and private sectors.
A minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0, a minimum score of 575 on TOEFL or an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 88 (no score less than 21).
