This degree encourages personal and professional development through a problem based curriculum, active learning in field trips and practical work placements that facilitate the integration of theory and practice. As a graduate students will be equipped to begin work as an environmental health officer in a wide variety of federal, state and local government agencies, as well as working in such a capacity for consultants and other members of the private sector who employ environmental health officers.
