This course will give students a background in environmental sciences, while focusing on core areas in environmental management, to develop an understanding of the physical, chemical, mathematical, biological and social dimensions of environmental problems and issues. Students will commence a specialization in second year and have the flexibility to exit after three years with a Bachelor of Science (Environment). Fourth year studies feature an interdisciplinary, practical, team-oriented approach to learning, and offer a chance to undertake an honors project. Students will also have the opportunity to develop a practical understanding of environmental management through off-campus experience with employers.

Students will gain an understanding of the wide range of disciplines, approaches, debates, and ultimately professional opportunities in this field of endeavor. Development and understanding of the various ecological, economic, social and cultural aspects of design and planning, of ways in which planning and design affect sustainability and the human environment, and the knowledge, skills, and values that will help to critically analyze, assess, and act to change the built environment are included as major concept of study.
The skills acquired through the program's unique interdisciplinary approach will prove attractive to potential employers at all levels of government and with many diverse organizations in the private sector.
A minimum overall band score of 6.0 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 5.5, a minimum score of 550 on TOEFL or an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 79 (no score less than 19).
