The Master of Medical Research is a one year full-time program providing graduates with the opportunity to undertake advanced study and research. This program is designed to provide students with a thorough training in applied scientific research and methodology and will also prepare students for higher degree studies and professional employment. The program consists of coursework and a research component (dissertation). This coursework will provide critical evaluation of research and presentation, develop the student's knowledge and understanding of statistical analyses techniques as applied to scientific research and develop an awareness of research proposal design and background. Students will also have the opportunity to develop a research proposal including aims, methodology and a literature review. In this course students will gain knowledge related to Biomedical Science, Clinical Pharmacy, Epidemiology and Population Health (formerly Biostatistics and Epidemiology), Pharmaceutical Science, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Pharmacy Practice.

In this course students will gain knowledge related to life science, health science and medicine. Studies in this field encompass all fields of science that involve the scientific study of living organisms such as plants, animals, and human beings. Medicine and biology are the major fields of study the area.
This program will produce graduates with high level research and problem-solving skills in the fields of medical science, epidemiology, population health, clinical pharmacy, pharmaceutical science, pharmacy practice and pharmacology and toxicology. Students will develop an in-depth knowledge of a specific field of research institutions and in addition will have gained an understanding of the range of current research in their area of specialization and the types of statistical analyses that can be applied. This program will produce graduates who are suitable for employment in public and private sector research positions and will provide a suitable preparation for those graduates who choose to continue with further postgraduate research studies.
A minimum score of 575 on TOEFL, an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 88 (no score less than 21) or a minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0.
