University of Tasmania

The University of Tasmania (UTAS) offers students gaining of knowledge related to marine and Antarctic science and provide unique opportunities and access to field sites and specialist equipment for studying the marine and Antarctic environments, including boats, diving equipment and aquaria.
Good knowledge of mathematics.
Major studies aims to equip students with specific research knowledge, skills, competencies and awareness in preparation for further studies particularly at the postgraduate level. The Antarctic science graduates, particularly at the postgraduate level require a broad basis of understanding of the key scientific, environment, law and policy issues that relate to the marine/Antarctic environment.
An undergraduate degree with a major (or the equivalent there of) directly related to the marine or Antarctic environment.
This course is accredited by the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS).
Minimum 0.5 years maximum 2 years
