In this course students will develop the skills and knowledge required for employment within Aviation Management. The program is designed to provide students with the core skills needed for lifelong learning in the constantly changing aviation environment. In final year students will have the opportunity to undertake a short research project which can be sponsored by an organization or individual within the Industry. Griffith University Aviation Management students will be well placed for careers in Aviation Management. Students electing to undertake the Training Management stream will be skilled in the foundations of educational practice. This course will include the ability to critically review and develop training curricula appropriate to aviation personnel. Graduates will also be able to effectively develop and manage appropriate training and assessment approaches.
Good knowldege of mathematics and physics.
The major studies include the development of major skills required for for a Commercial Pilots Licence.
Graduates of the Bachelor of Aviation Management may become eligible to apply for entry to the Graduate Certificate in Aviation Management or the Masters of Aviation Management.
After pursuing this degree from Griffith university students will be prepared for employment in the field of first-line to mid-level aviation management. Students will also be able to apply skills to many areas of the aviation industry including, airlines, maintenance and repair organizations, air traffic service providers, and government organizations, such as the Australian Defense Force and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority.
A minimum overall band score of 6.0 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 5.5, a minimum score of 550 on TOEFL or an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 79 (no score less than 19). English test results must be no more than two years old.
