This Honors program is designed to provide research training for graduate students from the Bachelor of Forensic Science. This degree consists of research training and completion of a research project in the School of Biomolecular and Physical Sciences. This degree will be assessed by coursework, research project performance, thesis and seminar.

Major studies include development of knowledge related to the state-of-the art forensic science and CSI methodologies through hands-on activities, laboratories, seminars, workshops and internships, Acquiring of requisite knowledge of the legal aspects of investigation and evidence through courses. Forensic science includes detailed study of anthropology, botany, criminalistics, entomology, engineering, genetics, information technology, medicine/pathology, molecular biology, odontology, serology, toxicology and many other disciplines.
The Australian and New Zealand Forensic Science Society (ANZFSS) and the Australian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology recognise graduates of this award.
It is expected that graduates of the program will be able to plan and conduct quality research and contribute as part of a team to the research culture of their specialty.
A minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0, a minimum score of 575 on TOEFL or an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 88 (no score less than 21). English test results must be no more than two years old.
