The visual artist is a major contributor to the culture of contemporary society, and this exciting and challenging program gives opportunity to gain experience in contemporary approaches to visual arts. Studies take place in four areas such as interdisciplinary print media, jewellery and small objects, interdisciplinary painting, and interdisciplinary sculpture. Integrating theory and practice and encouraging independent enquiry, these studies will give you an appreciation of the artist's role in contemporary society, as well as equipping you for a career in a particular visual arts field.

The major studies includes study of sculpture, sound , history and theory of arts .
The program is recognised by national and international funding and support organisations as a degree in fine art, including Arts Victoria and The Australia Council for the Arts.
The influence of fine art continues to expand and opportunities for involvement in the wider cultural sector are increasingly exciting. Students will be qualified for a career in specialized study area, or can put your wider skills to use. Fine Art graduates from the Queensland College of Art will have an enviable record of career success as professional artists. Many students may works in private and public collections and have won scholarships and national and international awards. Others hold significant posts in the arts, education and administration.
A minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0, a minimum score of 575 on TOEFL or an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 88 (no score less than 21).English test results must be no more than two years old.
