This is highly expressive program and this course will fire imagination and refine creativity, wit and ingenuity. Students will receive a thorough grounding in character animation, scriptwriting, concept development, graphic processes, visual communication and screen literacy, editing and sound production. Students will develop the skills to produce original films, from script to screen, using traditional drawn animation, digital animation, 3D puppet or clay animation and other experimental media.

Development of practical design skills and theoretical knowledge necessary for a career as a 3D Animator are gained by studying this subject. 3D Computer Animation will appeal to students who wish to combine their traditional art skills with cutting edge creative technology in 3D animation combined with digital video and motion graphics. Development of a significant digital media portfolio in preparation for working within the creative industry is also involved as major part of studies.
After pursuing this degree students get accreditation by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).
After pursuing this degree from Griffith university students can get work in 2D and 3D character animation and visual effects for film, television, computer games and interactive companies, develop animation design and layout, design computer games, create storyboards, become an illustrator and graphic artist or a teacher. Training in filmmaking and screen writing will also equip students for work in films and the electronic media.
A minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0, a minimum score of 575 on TOEFL or an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 88 (no score less than 21). English test results must be no more than two years old.
