The Bachelor of Business Science (Accounting) is a specialist accounting degree which will provide graduates with high level specialized skills in accounting and general skills in South African business law. This course blends a conceptual theoretical framework with a range of practical applications and covers the basic discipline material through to more specialized accounting concepts.
Good accounting skills.
Financial Management and Control, Managing and Leading People, Operations Management, International Business Environment, Marketing Management, Global Corporate Strategy, Modeling for Decision Making, Applied Research Methods for Business and Management, Dissertation are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
To be eligible to this course students must be at least 17 years old while enrolling (applications may be made while student is 16 yrs old).
Up on completion of this degree students get accreditation by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA).
There are fields of study that open up as many career opportunities as business. Our graduates are employed around the world. Students may work in large financial organizations and small start-up businesses. They work for the government, for corporations and for themselves. The range of career options available to students depends on the chosen subjects. Some of our recent graduates are currently employed as auditors, human resource specialists, accountants and analysts in banks and major consulting firms, marketing coordinators and analysts in large multinational corporations and small boutique organizations, HR managers in a variety of companies, entrepreneurs running their own businesses and management trainees across a range of industries.
