Biomedical science is one of the most influential areas of medicine. This course covers a range of vital areas, and has increased our understanding of the human body and the fundamentals of illness and disease. Our program will give a specialized training in the full spectrum of biomedical science areas, which include molecular biology, human genetics, immunology and neurobiology. Students will also benefit from our affiliation with several renowned research facilities, including the Burnet Institute, Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute, and the Prince Henry's Institute. Commerce is the cornerstone of the modern economy. It relates to the economic, political, legal, social, cultural, and technological activities that impact on commercial interactions around the world.The biomedical science component consists of 16 units from the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, two of which are electives. The commerce component consists of six core commerce units, an eight-unit commerce major, and additional units in the Bachelor of Commerce at Clayton campus to reach the required minimum of 16 units.

Major studies include development of skills related to researching of an issue, analyzing information, and communicate clearly are lasting skills that will help students in any career. Our program offers core units that will introduce students to the key principles of commerce.
To be eligible to this course students need to have equivalent Australian Year 12.
The Accounting major is accredited by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) and CPA Australia and Griffith Arts students are encouraged to become members of professional associations concerned with their areas of study.
This interdisciplinary degree will give vastly more career opportunities than graduates of the standard Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce, allowing students to forge own unique career path. High-achieving graduates of the Scholars Program will be highly sought after, all over the world. Commerce graduates have pursued roles in banking, politics, management, finance and insurance. They work for the government and corporations as stockbrokers, financial advisors, analysts and marketing consultants.

A study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or 25 in English other than EAL and a study score of at least 25 in one of Maths: Mathematical Methods (CAS) or Maths: Specialist Mathematics and a study score of at least 30 in three of any VCE Subjects.
