Are you interested in studying a bachelor degree in health or science? If you haven't had many opportunities to advance your science and mathematics skills, you may be interested in undertaking this foundation course. Students will develop a strong background in maths and the ‘enabling' sciences which will prepare students to successfully tackle a degree in science, engineering or health.This course is delivered through a combination of study at Curtin. Upon completion students must achieve a certain course weighted average (CWA) to be eligible for some courses:For entry into Pharmacy or Physiotherapy, Students need to pass 200 credits with a CWA of 75% or more. For entry into all Engineering courses, Astronomy, Environmental Science, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy or Medical Imaging Science, you must pass 200 credits with a CWA of 65% or more.For entry into all other courses within the Faculty of Science and Engineering and the Faculty of Health Sciences, you must pass 150 credits with a CWA of 50% or more, plus meet any other specific course prerequisites.

In this course the major studies include development of a strong background in maths and the ‘enabling' sciences which will prepare students to successfully tackle a degree in science, engineering or health.
All applicants are required to submit a 500 word Personal Statement highlighting their personal goals and aspirations. If student is from a non-English speaking background then student may be directed to English language bridging courses. Applicants who have limited educational opportunity are encouraged to apply. Student's personal statement should outline reasons for pursuing tertiary studies and ongoing goals. You may wish to include details of secondary school, TAFE studies, STAT results, other scholastic achievements and community involvement. Students can also attach documentation of work experience and educational history to support personal statement.
After pursuing this degree students will be considered as science as well as engineering graduate. As well this course enables students to get admitted to curtin and New Zealand universities.
Through this course students will develop the fundamental knowledge and skills in science which is needed to pursue further undergraduate studies in fields such as biology, chemistry, computing, forensic science, health, mathematics, physics, and many others.
