This course is developed for the students to advance their skills as performers and/or composers, acquired increased skills in their particular area,developed a comprehensive understanding of a wide range of repertoire and concepts,acquired research and communication skills commensurate with postgraduate study.The course consists of a number of core units, in addition students have the option to include a Research Project in their unit selections.
General knowledge about Music.
The Conservatorium of Music offers students an integrated music education based on best international contemporary arts practice. Live music making is at the core of the Conservatorium's activities. The course is designed to support advanced studies in instrumental/vocal performance, composition and music technology. Primary concentration will be given to the development of high level technical and music skills within the specialist area.
To qualify for admission applicants will need a relevant undergraduate degree, music qualifications, interview and audition.
The Australian Institute of Music (AIM) has a variety of upcoming performances for the aspiring applicants who wish chose music as their career path.
The graduates of the Master of Music are engaged at all levels of the music profession, both in Australia and overseas. They enjoy successful careers as performers, teachers and administrators, or may be involved in broadcasting, journalism or as music critics.
