The Graduate Diploma of Science with Honours allows non-science graduates to obtain the necessary prerequisites for higher degrees in Science.It is offered by all the Science schools of the Faculty.The specializations available are Biochemistry,Botany,Chemistry,Computer Science,Economic Geology,Genectics,Geochemistry,Geography EnvironmentalStudies,Geology,Geophysics,Mathematics,Pathology,Physics,Physiology,Regional Resource Management,Zoology and Microbiology.
General knowledge and application of science in modern world.
The course aims to provide students with opportunities to acquire knowledge, attitudes and skills in an area of specialisation that is different from the concentrations they completed in their undergraduate degree.
A graduate who does not hold a Science degree may be accepted as a candidate for a Graduate Diploma with Honours provided that the candidate's preparation for the course is adequate.
Depending on the area of specialisation, graduates may be eligible for membership of a number of professional organisations. This course is accredited by the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists (AIMS).
The graduates of the Graduate Diploma of Science with Honours will be competitive for professional careers in their area of specializations such as Applied Geology , Applied Psychology, Bioinformatics, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Science ,Bioscience Enterprise, Biosecurity and Conservation, Geography, Geology, Geophysics, Health Psychology , Physiology, Speech Language Therapy Speech Science, Sport and Exercise Science .
