General assumption of Social Work and its prime position in human life.
The Graduate Certificate of Social Work (Advanced Practice) enables field practitioners in a variety of human service agencies to enhance their knowledge and practice at an advanced level. The course is intended to provide social work practitioners with an innovative model for reflective practice and to increase competence in a range of social work fields and methods. The importance of locating social work practice in the political and organizational context will be emphasized.
In order to be eligible for entry to the course candidates must have qualified at least for completion of the Bachelor of Social Work pass degree at the University of Tasmania or at a recognised tertiary education institution.
This course is accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
The Graduate Certificate of Social Work (Advanced Practice) enables field practitioners in a variety of human service agencies to enhance their knowledge and practice at an advanced level such as Public offices,Private businesses,Hospitals,Clinics,Schools and universities,Health care establishments,Independent practices,Law departments,Police forces,Courts of law.
