The candidates will make a significant contribution to knowledge and practice in their professional context and may formalise workplace-based research and development.

The Doctor of Health is designed for health professionals with a Masters degree who are interested in conducting research relevant to their workplace setting. It is designed to enable participants to pursue higher degree research within the context of their role in the workplace and to receive academic support and recognition of this. The emphasis is on action research and associated organisational change, the contribution to knowledge, and dissemination of research findings through publication.

The admission requsite is that a person must have a recognised Australian or International postgraduate qualification and an established research/publication record, a recognised Australian or International postgraduate qualification which includes 25% or more research methods and 25% or more workplace project or equivalent candidates must have achieved a minimum of a credit average in their graduate coursework studies as a demonstration of their capacity to undertake graduate research at an advanced level.Applicants must provide their employer's written endorsement of their candidature. International applicants must also meet the University's English language requirements for admission are an IELTS overall score, a minimum total score & together with a Test of Written English (TWE) score on the paper based TOEFL,a minimum total score in each individual section of the internet based TOEFL, PTE Academic with a higher score.
