Comparative religion is the branch of the study of religions concerned with the systematic comparison of the doctrines and practices of the world's religions. In general the comparative study of religion yields a deeper understanding of the fundamental philosophical concerns of religion such as ethics metaphysics and the nature and form of salvation.
General knowledge about Asian Religion and the comparative philosophy related to it.
The course not only gives researchers and students the opportunity to engage in subject-specific teaching, learning and research, but also to engage with problems of great contemporary importance that benefit from an interdisciplinary approach. For example: problems of religion and conflict, diplomacy, terrorism, health policy, and human rights.

This course is accredited by the Australian Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy (ASACP).
The graduates may gain employment in fields such as diplomacy and foreign affairs ,journalism, criminology ,writing, international aid, teaching, research, politics, public service, cultural heritage, public policy.
