This course helps to become a qualified fully-accredited organizational psychologist and help organizations to improve the health, well-being, motivation and performance of their employees. Applicants should hold, on admission, an accredited Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Psychology, or a Bachelor of Psychology four-year degree, or equivalent. Students with overseas qualifications who may be accepted into the course and who wish to seek registration within Australia after graduation should ensure that their undergraduate qualification meets the requirements of the relevant psychology registration board for equivalence to a four-year Australian degree in Psychology.Applicants will be required to obtain a police clearance and Working with Children Certificate where appropriate. Applicants must also supply a Personal Statement, Referee Reports and Curriculum Vita with their application.
After completing this course the students will receive accreditation by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council for membership to the Australian Psychological Society (APS) as well as approval by the APS's College of Organisational Psychologists.
Students will find employment in a wide range of areas such as human resource management and personnel, management consulting, psychological assessment, selection and training, vocational counseling and life or workplace coaching. Students may also seek to upgrade qualifications to a higher degree by research or Professional Doctorate in Organizational Psychology in order to follow a more research-related career path.
