This course helps in development of looks and the trends to suit the markets culture and taste.The Associate Degree in Fashion and Textile Merchandising is designed to give opportunity to explore and integrate creativity with business.With its international focus, this program helps to pursue a career in buying, product development, retail management, planning, allocation and quality. The programs major highlight allows to work in teams on industry-based projects with some of the biggest names in fashion, including Sportsgirl, Country Road, Target, Spotlight, and Bardot Fashion Australia. In these projects, student will work with fashion industry professionals and experience first-hand their mentoring and guidance.If student is creative and business minded, enjoying fashion and challenges, this program will inspire to help to develop potential.
Units 3 and 4—a study score of at least 25 in English (ESL) or at least 20 in any other English.
The major studies include development of looks and the trends to suit the markets culture and taste. The study also includes product development, retail management, planning, allocation and quality.
Student must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 or an equivalent senior secondary school qualification with a minimum average of 60%. For information on international qualifications and corresponding entry requirements that are equivalent to an Australian Year 12, see the Entry requirements by country web page. Equivalent qualifications may also include completion of the RMIT Foundation Studies program or a recognised post secondary diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades.
This program is recognised and supported by ALMATAB (Australian Light Manufacturing and Training Advisory Board).
