RMITs fashion technology program builds on the graduate skills developed in the associate degree in fashion design and technology. It furthers technical skills and knowledge in fashion design and explores advanced creative design concepts for developing fashion products.The student will study advanced design research, product development, block development, pattern design, garment construction.The student also gains advanced knowledge in computer-aided design (CAD) and pattern technology to enhance product design and development skills. Student will develop the skills to be innovative and entrepreneurial in the management of fashion production and supply chains in Australia and overseas.

The studies includes development of advanced creative design concepts, product development ,pattern design,garment construction. Computer aided knowledge is also studied as major in this course.
Entry into the program is subject to completing the RMIT Associate Degree in Fashion Design and Technology, or equivalent.
The programs are recognised and supported by Manufacturing Skills Australia (MSA).
Graduates will gain employment in the fashion industry across the following areas: fashion design, pattern design, grading, production management, quality assurance and control, offshore production management, specification coordination, garment technology.
1 year full-time.International student visa holders can only study full-time.
