In this course the major studies include development of basic concepts of graphic design skills and knowledge for a creative career as well as computer drawing is also studied in this course as a major subject.
Student must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 or an equivalent senior secondary school qualification with a minimum average of 50%.For information on international qualifications and corresponding entry requirements that are equivalent to an Australian Year 12, see the Entry requirements by country web page. Equivalent qualifications may also include completion of the RMIT Foundation Studies program or a recognised post secondary Diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades.Applicants with work experience in this field will also be considered.
This program is accredited by the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) and supported by the Multimedia, Arts and Design (MAD) Teacher Network.
After pursuing this degree the student can start career as Graphic artists, Mac operators and can get specialisation in many fields, like: corporate design, book and magazine layout, advertising, packaging, television, film set, exhibition design. They can work in design teams in agencies and design studios, or alone, taking on freelance or consultancy work.
